The approach represents a shift from periodic cost reviews to continuous efficiency management, drawing inspiration from the Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) model.

Naming update, September 23, 2026: this release originally named the category Cloud Efficiency Posture Management (CEPM), as in its title. The release text uses the later name, Cloud & AI Efficiency Management.
