New York, June 10, 2025 : PointFive, a cloud efficiency solutions provider, has been selected by Redpoint Ventures for the 2025 InfraRed 100 List. The recognition highlights 100 emerging private companies in cloud infrastructure and validates PointFive's work in pioneering Cloud & AI Efficiency Management.

Naming update, September 23, 2026: this release originally named the category Cloud Efficiency Posture Management (CEPM), as in its title. The release text uses the later name, Cloud & AI Efficiency Management.

## A New Standard for Cloud Efficiency

Founder and CPO Gal Ben-David expressed pride in the recognition, describing it as an honor and noting that PointFive was founded on the conviction that cloud efficiency had to evolve into a continuous practice.

Traditional Cloud Cost Management (CCM) tools typically focus on financial reporting and surface-level optimizations while overlooking deeper technical inefficiencies. These tools rely on generic cost alerts rather than contextual, remediation-focused signals, leaving teams without clear action steps and reducing engineering team accountability.

## A Category-Defining Approach

PointFive developed Cloud & AI Efficiency Management as a new category of cloud optimization technology, inspired by Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM). It represents a fundamental shift from periodic cost reviews to a continuous, strategic discipline for managing cloud efficiency across an organization.

PointFive has also created the Cloud Efficiency Hub, described as the industry's most comprehensive library of cloud cost inefficiencies. The Hub features contributions from 42 contributors and documents 132 inefficiencies across IaaS, PaaS, and related environments.
